Valle de Elqui - what can I say? We got to spend 4 full days in one of our favorite places with some of our favorite people. Assisted (greatly) by our friends Judith and Jose and joined by our old friend Brandon, we took Chris's students into the valley for a heavy dose of astro-tourism. Alternately walking the road and taking turns driving (16 students, plus the rest of us, plus luggage didn't quite fit into 2 cars) we explored the Valley from Pisco Elqui to Alcohuaz and back, staying at various cabanas along the way. A storm was brewing so there were more clouds that usual, but we still had some fantastic night skies and long wonderful days surrounded by the Andes and all the beauty of the valley. Bliss!
