Blums BBQ

Tonight we threw a little party for Bob and Brian Blum. The Blum family (which also includes Denise, Megan, and pups Gizmo and Gadget) are long time Chilean ex-pats and friends who recently (well..... 2 years ago) moved to Tucson.

Chris fired up Jack's grill for some serious grilling: anti-chuchos (like shish kebabs) of pork, beef, bacon wrapped filet mignon, bacon wrapped chicken, sausages, plus some peppers and onions (forgotten and left on the grill) and 6 pounds of homemade french fries. Not to mention the brownies and cookies Rikki made.

Peter and Bernadette, freshly returned from their adventure in Spain and Portugal, brought their kids Josh and Amy, while Mike and Lizanne brought their whole clan: Tate, Josey, Kelsey, and Katy. Jose and Judith, Steve and Lisa, and Sean also enjoyed the Pisco sours, wine (Santa Carolina Gran Reserva Cab Sav), and other goodies.

Jack really needed a nap. He was awake all day and attended a baby shower earlier in the day. But like his parents, he is a social beast and refused any of our good natured attempts at giving him a nap. Instead, he hung out with the big people all night.
