While Daddy is away...

Keeping busy while Chris is away with almost daily visits to Summerfest (3 1/2 week festival in Ann Arbor with bands, food, movies, various other stuff), hanging out with friends and occasionally getting some work done around the house.

The first few photos are of the Amococo "luminarium" - one of the exhibits at Summerfest. It's a series of tunnels completely lit by natural light and is designed of a special plastic that reflects light - they invited people to actually lay down to get the full effect - which we were happy to do after waiting 2 1/2 hours to get in! But well worth it - Jack was amazed...

Our friends took great care of us the last couple weeks - Jack's friend Jake had a pirate-themed birthday party, complete with a kiddie zip-line! And we spent a day or so at Jack's friend Maggie's family lake house - soooooooooo nice!!! Our neighbors brought us yummy food, our friends have been keeping us busy and our family has been calling daily to check in - making the time fly by!

Today we marked the Fourth of July by playing catch in the front yard, lighting sparklers and Jack finally learning to cast like a pro with his fishing rod! Looking forward to seeing Chris on Friday...
