Today we took Jack to La Pampilla. This is a multi-day event centering around the Dieciocho holiday (Chilean independence day) and one of the biggest ones is right here in Coquimbo. It's part carnival, part market, part rodeo, part rock concert, part campground - not to mention the make-shift restaurants and bars serving all types of Chilean delicacies - empanadas to go or a full sit-down dinner if you like, colorful stands selling homemade chicha (kind of like a hard cider) by the bottle and even a few artisanal beers.
Jack took it all in, went on a ride with Mom and REALLY enjoyed the trampoline...see video!
